why zack is a 9wing and not a 7w 🫡 LONG COMMENT FOR MY POOKIE 🫡 tbh at one point I typed zack as a sp9 but I do agree now that sx8 fits better. wings don't really matter much but here's why e9 fits zack better than e7😁 first, the passion of the e7 and e9 are gluttony and sloth respectively. one of zack's main 'character development' arc thingies was around his sloth/laziness around boxing, and him becoming weaker bc pookie didn't train 🤓 both e7s and e9s don't embrace their own emotions, and the reason why zack is typed as a 7w is because he's loud and social. the main difference between e7s 'rationalisation' and e9s 'narcotization' is that e7s rationalize situations by 'by explaining it in highly positive terms as a way to avoid difficulties sadness, guilt, and anxiety' and e9s 'unconsciously numb themselves to avoid something that feels too large, complex, difficult, or uncomfortable to handle'. i believe that zack's emo 💔 mode is a better example of narcotization that rationalisation, as zack always substitutes his emoness 💔 into a physical activity (boxing and getting really beaten up🤓). if he was rationalising, he would more likely not even have an emo mode, as e7s are 'always be on the side of enthusiasm' and 'do not want to know anything about painful things and much less about suffering.' another thing to note is that 7s 'give everything in the beginning but then get bored and go do other more fun things', zack is actually shown to be very persistent with his training (his 3 fix coming through my hardworking bf 😍) as well, 'Self-Preservation Nines are concrete people, oriented to immediate experience, who don’t relate much to abstractions or metaphysical concepts.' but that might just be my pookie being stupid 🫡 another sp9 description goes 'the search for comfort in pleasurable activities may reflect a desire for compensation for their deeper sense of abnegation, or a giving up of the need for love, with the fulfillment of other appetites.
