Of course his characteristics was not the same as Confucius', but both had a strong Fe. He said he was good at cultivating himself to make virtues filling his whole personality and he believed that everyone had benign ends and a benevolent person is someone who does not lose one's mind as a child. However, he was in the conviction that those moral ends were universal, so he expected the monarchs and his students by his own high standards. His tone was adamant, somehow aggressive, and he was not so self-reflexive as INFPs (Augustine, Rousseau, and Kierkegaard all experienced the mental crisis of putting one's own beliefs into doubt, but it was not the case of him). And like Confucius he thought it significant for everyone to treat others concerning each other's social hierarchy.
