Steven K. Bonnell II (Destiny) MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Steven K. Bonnell II (Destiny)? Steven K. Bonnell II (Destiny) is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - sx/so - 583 in Enneagram, SCUEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

The main difference between ENTPs and INTPs is how they engage with ideas. Just because you have Dominant Ne, doesn't mean you have to be socially extroverted all the time. That's not what extroversion means in regard to cognitive functions. All Dominant Ne means is that you tend to engage ideas and possibilities directly, as opposed to exploring those ideas/ possibilities in service to something else. ENTPs also have Ti in the secondary position (as a result it's naturally more pessimistic and grounded because it's in service to the dominant function), so they tend to use Ti as more of a tool to be critical or "poke holes" in other viewpoints. While saying that ENTPs "enjoy debates" is a stereotype, it is one that is at least somewhat based on reality. But I'll go into more detail on INTPs. INTPs tend to explore ideas (Ne) in order to build upon their internal logical framework (Dominant Ti). They are not as critical of others thinking, but are more-so focused on their own development. As a result, if their line of thinking is founded INTPs can be some of the most consistently brilliant people on the planet. For example, an INTP political commentator would be Carl Benjamin/ "Sargon of Akkad". How he uses Ti and Ne, is that he regularly explores different philosophical works in order to develop how he thinks, and then he engages with other ideas with that worldview already set in stone. Sargon does not really often debate, and I find that he generally does poorly at them. This is mainly because the issue with Ti (especially dominant Ti) is that it's founded on logic (not rationale). To explore that further, a logical statement can be logically correct (the premises line up) even if the objective facts behind those premises are not correct. For example, the statement "All cats are red. Anything red can fly. Therefore, all cats can fly" is actually a logically correct statement. However, it's not a rational assessment because not every cat is red, and cats objectively do not fly. While the premises logically connect to one another, it does not lead to a rational conclusion. Ti is an introverted function, and as with any introverted function, it needs to be balanced out with extroverted ones, so it doesn't get stuck in its own echo chamber. Healthy Ti can be incredibly insightful, and it can help remind Te users (such as me) to consider perspectives I have otherwise ignored because they did not fit in with our beliefs (Te users tend to suffer from confirmation bias). But Ti can get egotistical about their own thought processes at times. As such Sargon (and INTPs in general because of dominant Ti) can sometimes run into the issue of getting too bogged down in their own thinking because it lines up and makes sense to them (even if their objective assessment leads to an incorrect conclusion). I think ENTPs are generally less prone to this because they have Secondary Ti, and as a result are a bit a more grounded in their logical processes. ENTPs are a lot more flexible, and have less trouble changing their conclusions to suit ones that they perceive as more correct (even if that's not always the case). INTPs place a lot more value on how they think, so they may be less willing to change their perspectives when confronted on them at first. Destiny has gone on record of changing his frame of thinking multiple times when he finds a position that he deems to be more logically sound. I think this displays more Ne-Ti. ENTPs can be sometimes be accused of being inconsistent or "unprincipled" because of this. On the other hand, I don't think Sargon has really ever changed his position in a massive way. He might add slight tweaks when he comes across new information in his "studies", but he is far more consistent (Ti-Ne) at sometimes the cost of being far less flexible to engage with ideas that contradict his worldview. I think Destiny fits in with being an ENTP based on these criteria. But going back to one of the downsides of Dominant Ti. This is excellently highlighted in the debate between Sargon and Destiny a few years ago. Destiny at first held many of the same opinions as Sargon did at one point (early in his career). But he then changed his stance almost completely when confronted with new information he deemed to be factually sound over the next few years. During the debate, he noticed that while Sargon's premises lined up (according to Sargon's own logic), but the individual facts were behind those premises were wrong. When Destiny systematically proved that each of Sargon's premises were outlined in shaky evidence, Sargon did little but double down and go in complete circles. Hopefully this outlines the difference between ENTPs and INTPs.
