Gale Weathers MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Gale Weathers? Gale Weathers is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 387 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

Extroverted Thinking (Te): “Well, she is vicious…” is how Dewey describes her in Scream 2 and it sums up her character pretty well. Gale is all business, all the time. She knows what she wants and nothing will stop her, bulldozing through people to reach her goals. In Gale’s world, she either welcomes you as an ally if you help her (and still bosses you around) or she will ask you firmly to get lost if you stand in her way, giving you a healthy dose of attitude in the latter scenario. She always has big plans that are well thought out and makes them happen. Introverted Intuition (Ni): Gale lets it known very early on in the franchise that she will not settle for being a small town reporter as she aspires for much, much bigger things. At the beginning of the first movie, she has already written her first book. By the time Scream 2 comes along, she has written several books and has directed the first Stab movie. While based on real events, she brings her visions to life, putting her own personal spin on it. While her banking on tragedies is morally questionable, she makes up for it by usually being the first person to spring into action in solving the murders, bringing her hunches and instincts along as primary tools. Gale always tries to stay two steps ahead of the killer(s) by trying to figure out their motive and identity before it is revealed. For plot purposes, she never seems to succeed, so to speak, but she is still impressively good at following her trail to the very end, discarding evidence that leads nowhere and staying on the most likely path. Extroverted Sensing (Se): While first and foremost a business woman, Gale does not sit on the sidelines while events unfold, let alone lock herself up in an office doing paperwork. She goes right out in the field, experiencing events first hand, for a clean cut perspective of what is going on. She is not above breaking the rules for her investigations and finding ways to manipulate outcomes in the moment. She takes risks and isn’t afraid to experiment. In many instances, she is attacked directly by the killer. While not as competent as Sydney in dealing with them, she still holds her own and always manages to squeeze by and live to see another day. Introverted Feeling (Fi): While not explicitly stated, the main reason Gale and Dewey broke up between Scream 2 and 3, is that she keeps putting her career ahead of their relationship. Gale has a very hard time tapping into her emotional needs, let alone someone else’s. At the end of every ordeal, her emotions for other people do shine through, but by the next entry in the franchise, it always seems like her “business” side has completely taken over again. In Scream 4, a more mature Gale begs Dewey to join her in her crime solving endeavors. While this seems like another business or action side of hers, it is actually her inferior Fi longing to create a stronger bond with him the only way she knows how.
