can chidori not have slander on her page? she's far from being mediocre or being completely selfish in the way the fandom sometimes displays her as. she's an emotionally complex character, and i didn't think one needed compassion to understand her or even feel some sort of sadness or sympathy for her. she had to deal with years of having a crush on katsuhira, and the moment she is able to confess that she still has feelings for him, katsuhira runs away (understandably as he had to save noriko, but as someone who wasn't aware [chidori], it was heartbreaking). she had to listen to katsuhira tell her that for the numerous amounts of times she has supported him he never really cared or ever gave it much thought. she had to witness him being attracted to someone else who was previously a memory from when he was really young despite her being so close to him for years. she puts up with her emotions being bottled up (for quite a long period of time), only for her to never receive those mutual feelings when she finally releases them. in fact, she went unappreciated for her acts of kindness. as for being commonly perceived as selfish, she literally set her feelings aside to help katsuhira at the end even though on multiple occasions, he treated her poorly and she was forced to watch katsuhira and noriko interact together in a very deep manner. i'm not sure what people's standards of "selfish" are, but i don't understand how that could be selfish. i find it interesting how everyone in the show has some level of selfishness, yet people put lots of emphasis on how she's selfish rather than everyone else as if she's the only selfish character in the anime. although people are allowed to dislike/hate her, it's irritating that half of the comments (excluding replies) start with something negative about her instead of writing about her character. a little off topic but i wish katsuhira never ended up with anyone. i feel like including romantic relationships destroyed the whole purpose of the platonic amity the plot was portraying as a message.
