Why 8w7? In relation to the anger of the gut types, she seems like an extremely clear example of a 1; she feels a need to tweak and adjust the world around her out of some sense that things aren't quite as "perfect" as her image of them should be, but she goes out of her way to not overtly express it, resulting in her coming off as quite resentful towards things she doesn't approve of. While there's a lot of depth to the Enneagram that this method obviously doesn't fully encapsulate, it's a pretty easy and consistent way to tell the differences between the gut types; towards something that fuels their anger, an 8 is strongly expressive and wants to change it, a 9 is strongly repressive and doesn't want to be seen as angry, and a 1 falls into an odd middle ground of wanting to change it but not wanting to be seen as aggressive or angry, resulting in coming off as resentful. Her approach to pretty much every problem throughout the story never gives anything to suggest she'd be an 8 or 9. I'm not 100% positive she's a type 1, mind you, but she at least surely has a 1 fix. I don't see 8 at all.
