She seeks security. Alyssa first and foremost wants to feel safe and wants to circumvent outside threats. Just look at why she left her home, she didn’t feel like she was in a secure environment with her step father. She constantly craves support from others, that’s why she deplored her mother in the first season because her mom blatantly disregarded her for her new family. Her infatuation with her dad was solely because he sent her cards for birthday, and when she found out that her dad never sent her those cards, she stabbed him. Enneagram 6s have a tendency to be obstinate, and arrogant which epitomizes Alyssa. She’s not that optimistic and jovial to be a whole 7. When 6w7s feel like that they have ruined their security like when james stabbed clive they become capricious, volatile, and self-disparaging. That’s exactly what Alyssa did. She stopped interacting with James because she saw him as a threat to her safety but when she later realized he was loyal, she went back to him. Alyssa is a colossal pessimist which is another trait of 6s. She is incredibly skeptical of anyone she isn’t conversant with. Just look at how skeptical she was of Bonnie when James acclimated to her pretty quickly. She got vexed and irate because James wrote that letter, and abandoned her. So she tried to cope with that by finding security in marrying that juvenile guy, she only stayed with him because he was loyal, and because she needed someone who she could trust. she has a pretty strong wing plus Te usage which might make people think she’s a 7w8 or even an 8w7, but after a little more scrutinization you can clearly tell she’s an 6w7.
