He was kind, brave, and actually wanted to make the world a better place. I read his Telegram channel, and he was optimistic and joking around til his very end. I'm pretty sure he was murdered because they couldn't break his spirit. When asked why he came back, he said, "Because this is my country, and I promised that I will never abandon people who believed in me, whatever the consequences will be." He wouldn't want his death to destroy our hope. He would want us to keep fighting.
Biography
Alexei Anatolievich Navalny (1976-2024) was a Russian lawyer and political activist. A regular participant in Russian March from 2009, he gained prominence in Russia, and in the Russian and international media, as a critic of corruption and of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He organized large-scale demonstrations promoting reform and attacking political corruption, Putin and Putin's political allies; he ran for a political office on the same platform.
