Marcie MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Marcie? Marcie is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sp/sx - 125 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
Isn't Ni perceiving things while adding a deeper meaning to it? The opposite of Se, which perceives things for what they are and what they seem like? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen Marcie use Ni before, or at least from my observation. I do agree that she does use some Fe but I don't think she has either Ni nor Ne as her aux or her dom function. I think she has more Si than Ni. In the snoopy show, there was a scene where she would refuse to go ice-skate because she would rather read books instead.(something along those lines). Snoopy showed her how fun ice skating was and Marcie, to adapt to the ice skating, started drawing geometrical shapes, something she was implied to be familiar with. She thanked Snoopy afterwards. This is Si, Si users look for something they're familiar with when they're faced with new things. There was also a strip where Patty tells her, "I called Chuck(Charlie Brown) last night, Marcie... I don't think he likes you more than he likes me...". Marcie immediately assumes she's turning Charlie against her and says "You're turning him against me!" this is a bit Te-like because it focuses on what is most likely true and isn't as precise as Ti. I'm not saying she wasn't wrong but I think her as a Ti user wouldn't straight up assume that Patty was turning Charlie against him. I know also that she is academically focused, but apparently her parents pressure her about her grades?(seen in a panel) If she was an INTP, a type with a judging function as a dominating function, then that would also mean Marcie makes validity-based judgments often. She doesn't make those judgments frequently however, though I'm not saying she's never made them before, or does it rarely. I think a judging function would be her auxiliary function, not her dom. I dont know about her Fe. Fe is deciding what's morally good or based on what good or bad is commonly or normally seen as, and that would mean, in situations, she would usually disregard the logical validity of the situation to decide whether it's morally right or wrong, I don't think she's like that. I do agree that she does have some Ti, but for her to be an INTP that would mean that she would have Ne as an auxiliary function, right? Where has her Ne ever been seen if Ne is perceiving things through relating them to something unrelated and connecting them together? These are based on my observations and this is what I came up with.
