Joe Strummer MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Joe Strummer? Joe Strummer is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - so/sx - 649 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, in Socionics.

The other day I was thinking about Joe and I realized that he didn't fit very well in any subtype. I thought that maybe, after all, he wasn't a six. But still, I think the message by The Clash goes well with type 6. It's mainly about realizing the role of youth in society, and the attitude they must take to stand up to authority and build a better place for everyone, especially the rejected, despised and ignored. Although The Clash is a group, it seems to me that Joe's way of thinking was what shaped the band, besides the fact that he was the frontman and main songwriter. There are many characteristics of type 7 that I feel match Joe, especially social 7. Still, some aspects don’t describe Joe’s personality: - He is optimistic, but has his mind on real problems. For him, the things people around the world go through call for action and change. This desire to fight for a better world doesn't come from idealization but from the actual state of the problem. - Perhaps Joe was initially afraid to fight directly against authority, but as a child he realized that he had to take a stand against it, something that, I believe, doesn’t characterize social 7. I still think that 6w7 is the most suitable enneagram for him. Maybe he was sx/sp, but I'm not close to being sure. So I'd like to know your opinion! I compiled several things Joe said, how his friends and members of The Clash talked of him, and some of his lyrics. Some of Joe’s quotes. “Authority is supposedly grounded in wisdom, but I could see from a very early age that authority was only a system of control. And it didn't have any inherent wisdom. I quickly realized that you either became a power or you were crushed.” “The way you get a better world is, you don't put up with substandard anything.” "A lot of the time I'm semi-insane, but there is a slight bit of intelligence there." “You've gotta be slightly stupid.” “You ain’t alive and kicking unless you’re fighting.” "My motto is, 'What's the hurry?' I'm trying to get it across to the modern world that we need to sit around and think a little bit more." “Punk rock isn't something you grow out of Punk rock is an attitude, and the essence of that attitude is 'give us some truth’” "In fact, punk rock means exemplary manners to your fellow human beings." "Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.” "The toughest thing is facing yourself. Being honest with yourself, that's much tougher than beating someone up. That's what I call tough." “I learnt that fame is an illusion and everything about it is just a joke. I'm far more dangerous now, because I don't care at all.” “You can only follow what's on your mind. In fact, a song is something you write because you can't sleep unless you write it.” “If you ain't thinkin' about man and God and law, then you ain't thinkin' about nothin'.” “I'm proud of all our records. Even the crap ones.” "Everyone has got to realize you can't hold onto the past if you want any future. Each second should lead to the next one." “And so now I'd like to say - people can change anything they want to. And that means everything in the world. People are running about following their little tracks - I am one of them. But we've all got to stop just following our own little mouse trail. People can do anything - this is something that I'm beginning to learn. People are out there doing bad things to each other. That's because they've been dehumanized. It's time to take the humanity back into the center of the ring and follow that for a time. Greed, it ain't going anywhere. They should have that in a big billboard across Times Square. Without people you're nothing. That's my spiel.” "We’re all going to have to learn to live together and develop a greater tolerance and get rid off whatever our fathers gave us in the way of hatred between nations." +
