Personality

What personality type is Frédéric Chopin? Frédéric Chopin is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/sp - 461 in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

ISFP IEI. I agree with the ISFP consensus, as he was very attuned to his physical environments and was quite fussy in that regard. This kinesthetic-focus can also be attributed to his exactitude and precision in playing styles. He was much more of an aesthete than a envisioner, which can be seen in his compositions. Unlike more "Ne" composers of that era(f.e Schubert and Berlioz, who's works are mainly focused on creating a highly specific and dynamic scene/cinematic syntheses), he preferred to experiment and combine a bunch of sensational shades and colors to produce one whole impression. This is heavily prominent in other Ni users like Beethoven, which makes sense as they're quite stubborn in how others perceive specific/objective meanings. Ne users tend to use multiple different parts, to convey a specific reality through imagery. Although ISFP sounds right, I heavily disagree with SEI. Despite his focus on the physical aspects of reality, he was FAR from being "relaxed" or "contented". He had a very melancholy and fatalistic personality, but not in the way that an ILI would. He was anything but solemn and collected, constantly alternating between happy/relaxed and angry. Many accounts have stated that he feared so many things in the most vague ways possible, like performances. This vague uncertainty and lack of will/confidence in himself is very prevalent in many INxps/IxIs(given that their Ni is constantly searching for the right moment, but their 1D Se keeps them from executing). "the poet Adam Mickiewicz, whose work Chopin admired and who was, like him, a Polish exile, called him a "moral vampire" for his adoration of the aristocracy and for his somewhat two-faced attitude towards the native land he missed so much" These strong nationalistic tendencies and overwhelming association with aristocracy indubitably points to strong Beta values.
