ok, i GUESS he was kind of a brave cat, but he yelled at me that one time. thunderclan stills sucks. ""But I don't enjoy it. I don't want to be the center of attention. That's one reason why I would never want to be leader. And for the rest of my life, until I travel to StarClan, I'll do my best to protect ThunderClan." ―Graystripe thinking to himself during a Gathering Graystripe's Vow, page 434 Graystripe is described as playful, devoted, trustworthy, and stubborn. Bristlefrost considers him to be wise. He is fiercely loyal to those he cares about, willing to sacrifice for his friends and family, even joining RiverClan for the sake of his kits, Stormkit and Featherkit. Although he tried to remain loyal to RiverClan, many cats, such Mosspelt, Mistyfoot, and Stonefur, knew his heart was always with ThunderClan. He warned his birth Clan of Leopardstar's plan to attack ThunderClan, claiming that "no cat could have tried harder" to be a loyal member of RiverClan. Following his return to ThunderClan, Graystripe understood the consequences of his actions and did not expect to be trusted nor forgiven, even stating to Fireheart that ThunderClan had good reason not to accept him back. However, Sandstorm remarks that half the Clan were "stupid furballs" for not accepting him back. During his temporary leadership of ThunderClan, Graystripe struggles leading, but in the end, he realizes that he would rather be a follower than leader, not liking the attention. Graystripe also took his own word and trusted a BloodClan queen, Gremlin, in order to save ThunderClan against another battle with BloodClan, despite many accusations against his decision. Graystripe also notes to himself that he gets anxious during certain measures, like when Brightheart was kitting. His fierce devotion to ThunderClan continues even after he was captured and forced to become a kittypet, longing to return to his Clan. Once coming back to the Clans with his new mate, Millie, Graystripe wasn't chosen as deputy again, but remained content with being a warrior. His dedication to ThunderClan continued into his retirement, as he gave Bramblestar's impostor a "piece of his mind" when the false leader was exiling Sparkpelt by criticizing his poor and weak leadership. Although the impostor attacked Graystripe afterwards, an undaunted elder called him out as an impostor, resulting in Graystripe's own exile from the Clan. However, Graystripe feels guilty that he hadn't done more to face down the impostor. When ThunderClan has been divided under Squirrelflight's leadership, Graystripe left with others, and still thought that he was an useless elder, but he realizes that he still has a part to play with the Clans, leaving the Tribe to travel to the old forest. He met Monkeystar, the leader of WarriorClan, and beats her to a fight, still proving he's a warrior on the inside. He also meets Fang, Gremlin's son, and extends his promise to Fang. He risks his life to help trapped kittypets in a Twoleg den and helps Fang fix his broken heart over Daffodil. As Graystripe leaves WarriorClan to go back to the lake, Graystripe feels great for helping WarriorClan, and realizes that if WarriorClan can live without StarClan, so can the Clans." - Warriors Wiki.
