Prometheus MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Prometheus? Prometheus is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sp - 592 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

The E7 is what we call a charlatan and a schemer. It is a person who lives through the power of intellect and persuasion, who declares himself omnipotent through his knowledge and cleverness. With such a love for intellect this is someone who looks for the more and greater, someone who sells reality for fantasies, a seeker of novelty, bizarreness and variety (this is what we call the passion of gluttony in the E7). "The E7 uses its undeniable intelligence for explaining, manipulating, and generating admiration. Also, their passion manifests as intellectual gluttony, which makes them have one of the most curious characters. In this way, they not only throw themselves into the pursuit of the unknown and new horizons but also to the extravagant abstract ideas that attract them." [1] As some may guess, with intellect and novelty comes rebellion, more specifically a rebellion against tradition and order alongside advocating new ideas, systems and movements. In the SO 7 this manifests in a sentient, moral form; ideas that are for the greater good, a happier world and freedom for the people (this type is often a socialist). In the case of Prometheus his gluttony manifests in his creation of humans, he thought that a creature that resembled that of the gods would be something new, great and adventurous, even revolutionary. Although the gods, more primarily Zeus disliked Prometheus's revolutionary idea insisting that they remain mortal, subservient and dependent on the gods, though this conflicted with Prometheus's vision of a greater purpose for his creation. And thus he rebelled against the gods for the greater good of fantasy, innovation and novelty. Prometheus then made a name for himself for his cleverness and cunningness, thanks to his great deal of wit. When he was asked by Zeus how sacrifices would be made he thought of a way to deceive Zeus and thus giving humans an advantage. He would get a bull and divide it into 2 parts, one bowl would have the bull's meat and skin hidden by belly while the other would have the bull's bones hidden by fat, tricking Zeus into picking the only seemingly right choice of the fat. This will allow the humans to keep the meat and skin for themselves and burn the bones for sacrifices. When Zeus forbid the use of fire to humans Prometheus refused to see his creations denied this essential resource and sacrificed himself to eternal pain for the greater good of his idealizations and utopia. Prometheus will always be known for his inquisitive nature, competing against oppression with subtly and sharing his wisdom and knowledge for greatness, aid and progress. - References; 1: Naranjo's E7 book generously translated by Mei and Cau @[BORN INTO THIS WORLD]. Biography

Son of Iapetus, brother to Epimetheus, Atlas, and Menoetius, this deity is a hardcore fan of humanity and proud of it. He was one of the original Titans who was neutral during the war between the Titans and Olympians (or, depending on which source you look at, sided with Zeus simply because he foresaw he'd win). Instead, his sympathies were with man. In fact, according to some stories, he created mankind (with possibly Epimetheus) and refused to accept that humans were inferior to gods. He tricked Zeus into accepting the uneatable parts of animals as sacrifices for eternity, leaving the meat to the humans. He is also the one who gave Fire to the mortals after he stole it from Olympus. He also saved his son Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha from a flood sent by Zeus to wipe out humanity, warning them of the events to come. Said son helped to renew humanity and became the first ruler of Greece. For his troubles, he was chained to a rock and tortured for centuries.
