"There are spritual followings... and then there are straight up cults. Rise... is kind of stuck in a gray area. She of course, will strive to reassure you otherwise. (Sometimes her reassurances aren't too convincing) Rise is going to have to take a lot of responsibility as the upcoming head of the Solfire Clan. Clan, not "cult", ok? The Solfire CLAN, what's that? I'm glad you asked! The Solfire Clan is a following of people devoted to living in solitude and worshiping the legendaries. The featured legendary? Ho-Oh! ... which is a hard deity to worship all the way from Hoenn. This clan boasts a lot of different beliefs, including worshipping the Legendaries as gods, Universal Stirrings, believing everyone has some kind of inner flame, and strict beliefs regarding keeping Pokemon outside of their Pokeballs. Due to Rise' natural desire to want to spread the good word of her people's following, she is very naive in social situations and often has a very unpolished high opinion of people she meets. Rise firmly believes that any creature created by Ho-Oh's divine graces HAS to have a strong, powerful moral inner fire inside of them. Rise's beliefs charge and direct a vast majority of her words and actions, and everything she shares is from a place of caring and love. Rise is a very emotionally expressive person at that. Rise's believes her invite to this game is a "universal stirring" and that fate has decided this for her. Rise's choice of a fire type stems from really the Solfire Clan itself. Ho-Oh is the bearer of Sacred Fire and the first head of the Solfire Clan was given a medallion by it and a sacred duty. As a result, fire-types are the highest in the Pokemon honor hierarchy in the clan. Rise, as the new Solfire Clan head, has been specially groomed to use fire-types primarily.
