Boar rider backstory The boar rider does not have a detailed personal backstory in the game's lore, but is one of several antagonists Larry must defeat on his quest to confront the Gnome King. Fighting the boar rider requires Larry to exploit the boss's weakness: The rider is invincible while atop his boar and constantly charges back and forth across the screen, an attack that causes significant damage. To avoid the charge, Larry must run to the far end of the screen and move to the top or bottom of the arena. The rider will eventually toss a javelin. Larry can pick up the javelin and throw it back at the rider to temporarily paralyze him. While the rider is paralyzed, Larry can attack. When the rider recovers, he will make the boar stomp the ground, which Larry can avoid by jumping with good timing.
