"Ive been skinny whooping people's asses for years. I'm not a knockout artist, I win because I'm smart" -Jon "Bones" Jones Being so tall and skinny, we know he's no powerhouse, and he himself is more than aware of this than anyone. He looks at patterns of behavior you've refined as techniques, figures out WHY you've used that technique, and tries to use it against you through his unique anatomy. "I study everyone extensively, and then I come up with their patterns. I figure out where they flinch, I figure out their first favorite punch, their second favorite punch, their third. Their combinations, their setups and takedowns, what side of the body the head goes to in the clinch. Literally everything, I know everything about every opponent. What side he's gonna shoot, whether he's gonna have his head inside or head outside, what will I do about that you know? I figure out everything, WHY they shoot, what area of the cage they like to shoot, everything." -Jon on the JRE MMA Podcast. Not trying to instantly KO you, but methodically breaking you down, until nothing is left to cover. He doesn't master a signature move or style, he's got an arsenal adapted to you and your specific tendencies. He uses visualization and spatial reasoning to imagine things in 3D to break down his opponents before he even touches them. This man is Ti all the way. Modern day Miyamoto Musashi.
