Looking back I can’t comprehend how the ESTP arguments came even close to convincing me. [▶️ Fe] - The first time we see him without the context of his job (aka threatening and killing), the first thing he does is complimenting Jimmy on his coffee. Even in an extreme situation like that he doesn’t forget about their friendship and wants to put him at ease. Or, if you’re more cynical, you could say that he’s trying to compensate and get his way in by making him feel good. Still Fe. - He constantly reminds people of the rules of being polite, you can see a nice duel between him and Vincent, who always says what’s on his mind. He warns him about the towels, tries to prevent him from offending Wolf, etc. He generally prefers harmony. - Not to mention the last scene where he spent like 10 minutes nurturing and guiding the robbers’ emotions to the right direction. ▶️Sometimes ESTPs have high Fe, but we know that Jules has it as dominant, because his Ni is just too strong: - He sees mysticism everywhere, even when a practical explanation is much more logical - He spends time analyzing the abstract meaning of sayings and likes to lay out a vision about it (about which Vincent is not very happy) - And his conclusion is letting life take wherever he needs to be. He believes in all events (like the failed gunshots) adding up to a grander plan of God with his life. I just can’t imagine him being Se Ti. Maybe people considered it because his job is stereotypically not an Fe concept.
