For everyone claiming that Alice has tertiary Fe because she has the capacity to experience empathy and compassion, i think it’s very important to remember that Fe =\= kindness / being nice. Fe is a value based decision making strategy. In a nutshell, Fe provides “access to external emotional environments” so to speak. Fe provides a propensity to adapt one’s behavior in response to external values / an emotional environment. High Fe users are constantly checking in to see how others are reacting to them and modifying their actions in response to the feedback received. Looking at Alice, this is without doubt her inferior function. It’s exceedingly clear that she leads with Ti. Just look at all her interactions throughout the movie. At the tea party, with the queen of hearts, with the caterpillar, the flowers. Homegirl clearly struggles to integrate others’ emotional states into her decision making, particularly when it contradicts her personal internal logic. She’s very comfortable with questioning others’ actions when she sees no sense in them. Fe tertiary often manifests as an enjoyment of playfully toying with others’ emotions. Compare her with the Cheshire Cat, an actual Fe child user, and the difference is crystal clear. Her Si is also clearly more developed. I mean, it isn’t great, but in comparison to her Fe, it’s definitely more prominent. When making decisions, she’ll often stop to remind herself of tried and true, sensible ways to act. Source information from her personal conceptualization of reality. We see this at key points during the movie “When one is lost it’s best to wait for someone to find you” or something like that. She’s certainly more in tune with her Si and uses it with considerably more ease. Si child makes perfect sense for her. She enjoys casually retaining facts, playfully manipulating rules, and looking towards to past to consider practicable steps to take. Now obviously, her Si is still quite weak and she often ends up ignoring her “good advice” at the end of the day, but it’s still there. Much more than Fe at least
