What personality type is Demoman? Demoman is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sx/sp - 874 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
--OUTDATED-- Demoman is a pretty good example of an unhealthy ESTP. Most obviously he overindulges in alcohol due to Se dom, and is very angry and out of touch with his tertiary function Fe (and basically never uses Ni). He uses Ti to understand explosives and become a well versed demoman like his Father, and is less concerned with values and personal morals (even if Fi users can have corrupted morals), seeming to have more detached logic and isn't angry and broken because of any values. Demoman at the end of his Meet The Team video breaks down for a second, but that is likely because he is unbelievably wasted and allowed some repressed feelings to slip out since unhealthy ESTPs like to appear fiercely independent and want to keep all of their vulnerabilities hidden when in reality they are a huge unorganized emotional mess on the inside. Lastly, and arguably most importantly in this case, I would like to point out that during the war between Demoman and Soldier, Demoman is initially reluctant to betray his best friend (Soldier), but is very easily persuaded by new weapons which kind of throws strong Fi out the window, and gives a decent example of Demomans underdeveloped and overshadowed Fe, preferring new weapons over his friendship with Soldier, proving his disregard for personal values and emotions. Also his fierce demeanor, impulsive nature, and out of control Se makes him a - what I think to be - obvious 8w7, but not many would argue against that point I think.
Biography
Real name: Tavish Finnegan DeGroot The Demoman is a black Scotsman wearing an eye patch, with a knack for explosives and strong alcohol. A boisterous bruiser and a cheerful drunkard, Demo enjoys nothing more than blowing everything to bits while chugging on Scrumpy (a harsh cider coming from western England). Abandoned at birth by his parents, his talent with explosives resulted in the deaths of his adoptive parents, and his family welcomed him back in the DeGroot clan. Since then, he's been working as a mercenary. On account of his lack of an eye, and blood heritage, he considers himself something of a Last of His Kind. He shared his class update with the Soldier, much like the Sniper and Spy. The update revealed the Demoman's lifestyle; along with working three jobs, he lives in a mansion in New Mexico with his blind mother.
