Dorian Gray MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Dorian Gray? Dorian Gray is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - sx/so - 379 in Enneagram, SLUEI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
Charming, materialistic, hedonistic, and intensely irrational. Sounds like traits of an unhealthy ESFP, rather than an ISFP. An unhealthy ISFP would probably become very unresponsive or irrationally angry. (Fi-Ni or Te grip). This is clearly not the case with Dorian Gray. He's hedonistic to a fault and adheres to some kind of philosophy that he thinks is worth his time, when he hasn't even spent a single second to actually analyze what he is following. ESFPs can go through Se-Te loops that make them incredibly hedonistic and aggravated when things don't go their way, but ISFPs go through brief periods of depression and unresponsiveness because of Fi-Ni. The point I made about how Dorian Gray follows a philosophy that he clearly does not understand is deeply reminiscent of inferior Ni paired with PoLR Ti struggles. From face value (over-reliance on Se), he believes that the philosophy of hedonism is valid and legitimate, and refuses to go in-depth past that point, leading to his demise. (Lack of Ti on his part, no care to analyze hedonism further and why it's potentially bad for him) TL;DR. Dorian Gray is an incredibly unhealthy ESFP because of the unhealthy interactions between Se-Te and lack of Ni/Ti.
