George Cooper MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is George Cooper? George Cooper is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/so - 963 in Enneagram, RCUEN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
as much as he doesn't seem like an archetypical ESFP, i think he is a clear fi user. especially during times of stress, he seems to be in an emotional bubble where only his emotions matter to him. ex: when he got fired (end of s5), mary (a RAGING fe user) tried to comfort him, but he shut her down saying that he didn't care about her religion and that he was going through a really stressful time. in contrast, when mary got fired she tried to improve things for those around her, by finding jobs (to support the family) and encouraging george to do so as well (to support him). even without stress though, he is emotionally volatile in a way that fe users wouldn't be. ex: when sheldon goes through an existential crisis, george seems oblivious and just wants him to go through the motions so everyone can get out the door and to school (tert te). he also doesn't care about appeasing others, from the football sponsors (which he notoriously flips out on), to his own family; despite mary disliking conflict he makes it very clear he hates connie. i do not think he is a natural enneagram 9 - he only displays 9 traits because he's the head of the household and thus has an obligation set on him by (mostly) mary to be a 'good dad' and all that. i think without mary he would be an 8; he seems very reactive in most surface-level conversations and even in non hostile environments (ex: missy not wanting to go to red lobster with him), he takes them as personal attacks and quickly gets angry/hurt. also, how is he C > L? as i mentioned above, he is very reactive in most situations and is only calm because mary almost forces him to be. he seems like a RLUEN guy to me.
