Benvolio MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Benvolio? Benvolio is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - - 926 in Enneagram, RCUAI in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.

Benvolio is a perfect example of an Enneagram 9w1 for many reasons. Nines have the core motivation of having peace and stability, they want harmony in their surroundings. The core fear of Nines is being separated or losing those around them, hence why they like harmony and peace, if there is harmony then no one is going to get upset and leave. Benvolio plays the role of Nine very well, he is constantly trying to stop the fighting between the Montagues and the Capulets. He tries to get Mercutio to not engage with Tybalt and in the beginning, he tries to distract Romeo from Rosaline, someone who is disrupting Romeo’s peace, and since Romeo likes to project his emotions, identity, and depth everywhere, it disrupts the general harmony of the group. Benvolio wants to distract Romeo from Rosaline to restore the peace. You can also see his One wing in how in the beginning when Romeo says goodbye to him, he tells Romeo “And if you leave me so, you do me wrong.” Ones have a great sense of right and wrong and they strive to be good, their core motivation is to be good, so Benvolio trying to appease conflict by pointing out the flaws makes sense. He uses his One wing to help the motivation of his core Nine
