What personality type is Jin? Jin is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 415 in Enneagram, in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
Jin's issue lies less with his specific memories and experiences, but rather with what he believes he has discovered about the universal truth of the world. As a Blade, the fact that his species is made to be subservient to humans and cannot form a shared culture due to forgetting their own lives, after all he has witnessed humans to be, has proven to him that his life is meaningless and not worth living unless he upends the entire current order of the world created by the Architect. Once that belief of his, of a humanity that does not care about living in harmony with each other, Blades and Titans, begins to be challenged, he does put his lot with Rex, and entrusts him to show Malos the same thing, regardless of what happened in his past. Just as he had sided with Malos after witnessing that the both of them shared the same pain. Jin takes in and reacts to information and outside stimuli readily, rather than filtering them though Si. A lot of the INFP arguments boil down to him unable to let go from past trauma, equating this to Si, but it's his underdeveloped Ni that took in his raw, unfiltered Se experience and Fi judgments and sent him down into the spiral of nihilism he is in. Actually, if one needs to have an example as to how a Si user deals with a similar situation, look at Nia. She is open to the idea of experiencing a different life with Rex & Co. but it still takes her a while to internalize her experiences with them enough to trust them fully. This is especially apparent during Chapter 5, when Morag joins their side.
