What personality type is Maxie? Maxie is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - so/sp - 153 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
I agree with most of what is listed, but mainly argue for 6w5 and RLOEI instead of 1w9 and RCOEI. For 6w5, Maxie's core goal was to help improve the world as a whole, by providing humanity more land to live upon (more housing and such). That is reflective of a sense of duty or morality, yes; but in stress, such as the scene within the Seafloor Cavern in Omega Ruby, he is shown to be paranoid of others and their intentions. He directly assumes Tabitha a traitor, and even goes as far as to say Groudon is all he can trust. Such priority to loyalty and fearful suspicion is much more indicative of a 6. This cannot be reasoned as the stress dynamics, as a 1 in stress would appear more as a 4. His wing is a far simpler decision; as I believe he indulges and overanalyzes, rather than evade like a dominant wing of 7. In terms of subtype, he strikes me as a so6, due to his general adherence to routine (grunts/employees of his often speak of an organized schedule) and overly formal manner of carrying himself, alongside his sense of social duty that leads people to type him as a 1. The core value might not be morality for being correct; but morality for being accepted and above fear. I also decided on RLOEI, because despite Maxie's usual distance in ORAS, he is shown to have inconsistent emotional regulation; he has a moody side to him, for lack of a better word. His contradictions and rash assumptions in the Seafloor Cavern scene (Omega Ruby specifically) show this most, alongside his Pokemon Masters dialogue where he confirms rambling is a bit of a habit for him (suggesting he has trouble with holding back from rambling).
