What personality type is Jonah Simms? Jonah Simms is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - so/sp - 172 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.
So people seem to think he is an ENFP but he is the spitting image of an ENFJ. I'll tell you why by this plea: Somehow people seem to think Ne is more about caring about sociatle issues than Fe. Or that ENFJ's have no intrinsic motivation for what would be good because that would only be for Fi. No we actually have our own moral compass and idea's but it's more based on how we think about how it would affect the world, we often have not mainstream opinions but we care about most opinions and how other people feel. ENFJ's are altruistic world changers. Think of Martin Luther King or INFJ's using Fe&Ni too like Nelson Mandela. Ofcourse in Superstore they are portraiting the normal people without higher education or a bigger purpose. But also on a smaller scale Jonah is fitting the stereotype image of an ENFJ. Jonah did mention working for the Red Cross in his past and he find many opertunities to share his feminist and leftist idea's for more equality in society and on the workfloor. He is moralistic and wants to keep everyone motivated and on the same page, he's always working to a peacefull agreement. Also he takes every opportunity to give a motivational speach. The cast thinks he is pretentious while I don't really see it like that he's just from a different social class. He does have a preference to refined taste (for instance he likes cultural movies) but he always asumes others will others will like this too and love to share the joy. He doesn't feel like he is acting better he wants to connect and bring people together. It's very relatable that other people assume that having taste means you are arrogant. It tells more about their own insecurities. He always try to make people smile alot, keep things light and positive and help people grow especially Dina (ESTJ). Because she really is terrible 🤣 (I don't think I would have the patience, but HR managing your manager, um yea relatable 🤣). For instance when he convinced her to give an apology speach and then he helped writing it for her. Also the moment that was very telling was when he was thinking out loud to hear the approval of someone in the cafeteria: "I am weird for wanting to be liked? This isn't even about my ego. People getting along is the bedrock of a functioning society. Am I right?!" Man is watching towards the tv. "I have seen this one they get in a big fight about the sofa but it's not really about the sofa." This conversation is such a Fe + Ni example. Also very relatable is how he got mocked all the time by the sensors 😅. They just don't get his good intentions. But obviously he comes across as a know it all, or a do gooder (not like Dina, more socially) but they all can't deny his charisma. Johnah is a prime example of an ENFJ. I rarely see an ENFJ in a normal daily life based role and it's so relatable even tho I just as well can relate to more fictional characters like Danearys Stormborn. You might recognise your own type too when watching something and you just know. For the people still wondering if he is not an ENFP. Perceivers are more chaotic, have serveral projects or hobbies going on (that they like themselves) at once, are a bit awkward at times and have a bigger cute factor. A good character that portraits that perceiver trait with also this 7 ennegram vibe versus the put together judger trait of Jonah is Phill Dunphy. Anyways Jonah is Enneagram 2 wing 3. He is helpfull, kind and wants to be loved, he did law school before and got burned out if I remember well. He definitely has a obvious 7 in there too (which make people prob think he is an ENFP) , this is the happy energetic vibe and I think a 9 because he goes with the flow and doesn't really take charge or want to be a model citizen. That makes him a 279 and that discription fits his cheerleader personality. He is mostly social but inmediatly had flirtatious connections so I think so/sx. - ENFJ
Biography
A pretentious yet well meaning associate, who started to work at Cloud 9 following college burnout. His political activism and self righteousness make him seem annoying to his coworkers, but deep down he's a kind person with a heart of gold. He tends to get into awkward situations due to his overly altruistic nature. #BenFeldman
