Alan Watts MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Alan Watts? Alan Watts is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.

Didn't he say your personality isn't real? MBTI is your ego in a way and you believe you're this one thing but really you can be anything. Labels are just placed on others to make things easier for us but it's important for us to not get attached to labels. Someone who is labeled as a quiet person feels limited and feels like they'll be that forever when that isn't true bc personality traits are inconsistent. I think environmental factors play a huge role in the way we behave and it might not even be much of this intrinsic thing. I don't call myself quiet or loud bc depending on the circumstance I'm one or the other. The same goes for introvert/ extrovert and mean/nice. It's wrong to reduce human beings to one trait like that just for our convenience. We're all complicated and we should acknowledge that. Idk if I misinterpreted Alan Watts but he said the only real thing about us is the things our body does unconsciously like breathing. All this to say, Alan Watts rejected the idea of personality so it's ironic he's on here. It's also ironic bc I hate labels but continue to look at MBTI-related things. It's all to feed my ego so I can feel like I have a purpose in life. Without these neat little labels, we're lost and it's too chaotic for us. We also give others labels because we don't want to spend the time to get to know them. We just wanna find a shortcut to knowing someone.
