Joy Wang MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Joy Wang? Joy Wang is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 469 in Enneagram, in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

I think sp 4 fits the most sense: throughout the movie, she wanted to be noticed for her suffering, but didn't want people to help her. it's a type of contradictory between sp 4s: wanting to be noticed for their suffering, but at the same time not: she didn't want to receive help and often simply just gave up. she even said in the movie (this was moreso from Jobu if I recall,) but wanted her mom to feel her pain and what she had gone through. other times I remember where she would just run away from those who hurt her and didn't bother with such troubles. she probably has had many run-ins with her mother where her mother doesn't listen to her, so joy just simply leaves. other things I've noticed that she did for, "attention" was acting out, dressing up, and rebelling. things that are seen within 4s, moreso so and sx however. Tenacity. Different from "sufferer" (E4 social) and "insufferable" (E4 sexual) is what in Spanish is called "suffered", an expression that speaks of a capacity for self-frustration and endurance. Instead of being an overly tearful person, the sufferer is one who does not complain and avoids crying in front of others, and who has learned to swallow a lot and bear pain without blinking. How could we explain this in terms of motivation? What necessity can push a person to become a masochist? It's kind of like saying to a parent or loved one: "You see I'm not complaining? Do you love me now? You see what a good boy, what a good girl I am?" The E4 conservation aims to make virtue of resistance to frustration. The visible envy that presents the sexual E4 as a demanding and insistent aggressive oral, here becomes a counter-envy directed against the person himself, now in the form of a self-demand that is also self-devouring. 4 trait structure: Focus on Suffering: use pain as revenge, unconscious hope of obtaining love through suffering, sensitive, intense, passionate, romantic, suffer from loneliness, may feel their life is "tragic", deep longing, nostalgic, intimately forlorn, often languorous and pessimistic/bitter, lamenting, complaining, despondent, self-pitying, feeling of loss or fear of future loss, mourning, amplification of suffering, purposely make painful choices, victimization Envy: love hunger, guilty/controlled greed, over-desiring, self-frustration, pursuit of the extraordinary and intense, dissatisfaction with the ordinary, extreme neediness but disliking neediness (I saw that within joy in the movie.)

Biography

Joy (Stephanie Hsu) is the daughter of Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) and Waymond Wang (Ke Huy Quan). At the beginning of Everything Everywhere All at Once, she has a struggling relationship with her mother not accepting her girlfriend Becky (Tallie Medel) and her life choices. Her mind was splintered after being pushed too hard to “verse-jump,” and she is forced to now experience all the universes at once, thus becoming Jobu Tupaki. She learns to verse-jump and manipulates matter at will through extensive training and sheer willpower. Alpha-Waymond believes that she has the power to kill everyone and everything if allowed to continue down her path. Jobu Tupaki didn’t create the everything-bagel to destroy everyone else but herself. All she wanted to do was find an Evelyn who could understand her beforehand. In the end, Evelyn is able to convince her not to throw her life away because, in every universe, she will always choose Joy. In the end, their relationship is still a bit strained.
