Kishiar—love of my life—la Orr (High Fe and Ni users are such enchanting people) Earlier in the novel, I was uncertain about his enneagram. It was between e8 (so8) and e2 (so2)… But after getting completely caught up to the most recent chapters, it becomes way clearer that he’s so2. So8 usually has a smaller more specific group of people they’re loyal to and driven to protect, but Kishiar generally wants no one to suffer needlessly. He’s greatly keen on implementing his plans in ways that benefit everyone, thus creating the least amount of stress and bloodshed. So2 are known for having power/influence on a group through their talent for support. They know how to effectively cultivate their public image to gain advantage, and often fall into positions of leadership. Similarly to e8, so2 might want to dominate/protect, however so2 will more readily show their vulnerability if they see it has a clear advantage. This ties in with how Kishiar presents himself to be incompetent. Kishiar didn’t curate his image in a way that gained favour, rather he used his unfavourable reputation to get more freedom in his operations, thus gaining advantage at the cost of his image. I think the reason Kishiar cares so little about the rumours surrounding him isn’t because he’s completely unbothered, but because he’s just accepted them. If being looked down upon would make things easier, he wouldn’t mind as long as he achieves his end goals. So2 are also skilled at silently extending their influence as they work behind the scenes. They are extremely aware of the social sphere and act strategically generous with support in ways that end in gaining collaboration/allegiance. They recognize that having a certain amount of power and influence on others can be advantageous for favours. Throughout the entirety of the novel, we can see the extent of Kishiar’s strategic use of kindness. He always considers the benefits that can be gained and conflicts that might cause losses. Though it appears like he acts on whims, he is incredibly calculated and accounts for every detail. So2s can also have a tendency to overwork themselves to avoid overlooking anything. When Kishiar is in a good mood, he’s motivated to push forward and make his goals happen. When kishiar is in a bad mood, he also works. But unlike his usual ambitious behaviour, Kishiar will work desperately. In this state, it no longer matters to him that there’s a high chance he won’t get to see the end result of the world he’s working so hard to create. In T1, we saw how he passed on everything he had to Yuder, knowing it was impossible for himself to continue living. Kishiar’s desperation is channeled into non-stop work, doing whatever he can to ensure success for the future he envisioned. That way even when he’s gone, his influence will remain. Despite being workaholics, So2s have quite a positive view of their work and goals, thinking it possible for them to accomplish. Kishiar knew it was possible for himself to play a role in changing the world, but he felt as if fate was just against him. His body couldn’t sustain his power, this is something he and Keilusa shared bitterness and regret over. Unhealthy So2 might use their power to control people to the point of exploitation under the belief that they are being helpful. We catch a glimpse of this especially through T1 Kishiar. (Though Kishiar was aware he was acting selfishly in a way that would impact Yuder, he felt it was the best outcome given the circumstances. He knew it was cruel, but it ensured the survival of two things he considered crucial for the future: the Cavalry, and Yuder.) So2s also tend to be incredibly emotionally aware, so they’re mature and stable enough to support others who are still discovering their own emotional realms. This is exactly what Kishiar does for Yuder in how he always patiently and carefully aids him in navigating any complicated feelings that rise. Overall, I think So2 actually fits Kishiar really well. I started doubting my typing of him as So8 when I considered his py placements.
