What personality type is Dorian Zibowski? Dorian Zibowski is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 459 in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.
From the pilot itself and the comic, I can understand the leaning for ISTP. He seems pretty sarcastic, nonchalant, snarky, detached and withdrawn (especially in the pilot). But I'd argue that Zib is an Fi dom and an ISFP. (SPOILERS FOR THE WEBCOMIC) The clearest indication we get of this is in volume 2 of the comic 'Backalley' and 'Blood-money', where he is visibly disturbed by the means in which Mitzi managed to scrounge some money to pay him with for his services with his band. Someone with Ti as their dominant function wouldn't really have a problem with accepting that money as internal logic would probably tell him that that money could help him survive and get by or, as he later reveals in 'Scapegoat', use it to leave St. Louis. But as an Fi dom, he is more concerned with how this clashes with his moral compass, beliefs and values and doesn't even consider the uses of that money as he doesn't agree with how Mitzi acquired them. It's also fairly evident that he is quite the broody, sensitive type. Snippits like 'Funeral', from the extras, shows how introspective his mind is and how he is in tune with his (especially negative) emotions. Something that he could facet out through his music, although that is pure speculation from me. His character profile also says his reluctance to abandon his moral compass also tends to get him into trouble which only strengthens the case for a feeler and not a thinker. Moreover on his official profile, there's the implication that there is more underneath his apathetic facade "Although outwardly languid and untroubled , the occasional existential crisis and ritual qualm-quenching indulgences might imply another state of mind." As for whether he has Ne or Se is always the hard part as no medium we've seen him in really displays either. I can only really vibe this one and say he's a kinda in-the-moment guy.
