Vee Ennea-type III & character analysis 📺 (1/4) (My earlier draft unfortunately got lost, so this’ll pretty short). Vee has to be a top contender for the most mischaracterized toon in Dandy’s World. In this quick analysis I’ll be explaining why I think Vee is E3 instead of E7, E8, and E1. (╹◡╹)☆ —————————————————————— Quick notes ♪ ❇️ Unfortunately, Vee is often mischaracterized as an abusive bully within the Dandy’s World fandom. This is reflective within the E8 consensus. However, many people forget about Vee’s insecurities regarding her worth (3V) and how her perfectionism is specifically manifested within Vee (E3>E1). —————————————————————— Regarding E8 ♠︎ ⭐️ The E8 consensus is extremely infuriating. It seems that this E8 consensus has come from the mischaracterization of Vee—a “rude”, “abusive”, “sarcastic”, and “arrogant”. This couldn’t further from the truth. This gross mischaracterization of Vee stems from a misunderstanding of Vee’s emotions and technology. At a quick glance, Vee may appear as a bully from her seemingly “sarcastic” and “mean” comments. However, when looking closer, it becomes clear that this is a result of her programming. Vee, a computer, does not understand the complex emotions of her fellow toons (4E). She does not see herself as “mean”, just truthful. She does not sugar coat things, just blunt. (Explains the commonly “autistic-coded” term associated with Vee) NOTE: Teagan and Vee’s dialogues further prove my point. (I’m too lazy to type allat though, but if you need proof of Vee not trying to be “mean”, that dialogue proves it) Now with that out of the way, Vee is obviously not E8–she does not represent any of E8’s lust and punitiveness. It seems that the E8 votes has arrived from the gross stereotypes of E8 as some “alpha red-pilled republican” who “only serves to abuse others”. (Which I have cleared the mischaracterization of Vee as an arrogant bully in my earlier statement) Now, an actual description of E8. “The Spanish dictionary from the Spanish Royal Academy—where I dictate this chapter—says concerning lust that it is a ‘vice consisting in the illicit use or disordered appetite for carnal pleasures,’ and gives the additional meaning of ‘excess in certain things.’ It is he latter definition which coincides with the meaning given to the term by Ichazo in his exposition of Protoanalysis, and we may view the former., i.e. the more common sense of the term., as its derivative or corollary. I will therefore use the word ‘lust’ to denote a passion for excess, a passion that seeks intensity, not only through s_x, but in all manner of stimulation: activity, anxiety, spices, high speed, the pleasure of loud music, and so on” (Naranjo Character and Neurosis Page128). Within the context of the description of lust, (the passion of E8) how does Vee represent E8 whatsoever?! However, as far as I’ve recalled, the asinine consensus of E8 has been called out in the discussion of Vee’s typology. (I could be wrong though—do not quote me on that). I believe Vee’s struggles are much better represented within the context of E3, which I’ll explain by the end. —————————————————————— Ennea-type VII ♥︎ 🎙️ I am genuinely confused on how E7 has become the 2nd most voted enneatype. I’m assuming the popularization of E7 has arrived from the annoying ENTP votes which has stemmed from the frustrating mischaracterization of Vee. Once again, Vee doesn’t represent E7 whatsover. E7 is described as “gluttonous”, a “charlatan”, a “dreamer”, “seekers of variety, adventure, and suprise”, “hyperthymic”, “being easily satiated and bored with things”, “narcissistic”, and “ideologists of revolutions”. (All quotes from Naranjo’s E7 chapter in Character and Neurosis). I do not think it needs to be explained in depth how all of those traits do not apply to Vee, but if needed so, I can do so.
