What personality type is Luther Von Ivory? Luther Von Ivory is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - sx/sp - 125 in Enneagram, RCOAN in Big 5, in Socionics.
Why luther is not e9, especially sx9 since he's typed like that here: sx9s are people who lack identity so they "blend" with other people, they also have a need for "guidance" or another person to feel a sense of being because they don't find it in themselves. Because of this absolute non independence sx9s are not assertive at all since assertiveness requires having and expressing one's own attitude. Does that sound like luther? Not at all. So9s on the other hand find their identity in a group, they want to be a part of something bigger and sp9s recompensate their lack of identity in physical narcotization. Now if we're typing by subtype>core, luther could somewhat be seen as so and sp 9, but it's the same case with so6 which can also somehow describe him. That's because 9 is his wing and 6 is in his tritype, not because it's his ennagram. But if we're typing by core>subtype then i don't see why he would be 9 instead of 1. 1 in the core is perfectionistic, strict and rule-oriented while 9 is indifferent and lack strong sense of right and wrong that 1 has. Luther is perfectionistic, strict and rule-oriented, has a sense of right and wrong and isn't indifferent. So if we're typing by core, luther definely is 1. Now for the subtype I'm sure he's either sx or so 1 but i don't know which exactly. So1 focuses on presenting the right way to do things and "possesing" being right, sx1 is the most emotion-driven subtype of 1 and focuses on reforming things, people or communities to what sx1 thinks these things should be, because of one's strong "morality". I would say that luther is rather sx1, despite his stiff appearance he expresses anger and his acts and thinking are driven by his inner conviction of what is the "right" thing
