Abdul Somad Batubara (born Silo Lama, May 18, 1977) is a popular Indonesian Islamic preacher and scholar from Asahan, North Sumatra. His religious dawah and lectures are characterized by unique rhetoric and humor. Somad faced controversies after demeaning a woman's physical attributes. He also disparages other religions in his preaching, promotes prejudice against the LGBT community, denounces Korean drama audiences. In 2022, Somad was banned from entering Singapore due to his rhetoric.
