What personality type is Marcy Park? Marcy Park is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - SP9 - in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
Why would Marcy be core 3? Core 3's are obsessed with admiration and success, something we see she actively feels is a job for her, and she gets no real enjoyment from (please think I'm funny). She is definitely a core 8, as she wants to detach what others expect for her and desires control of her life. I say 8w9 over 8w7 mainly because she's not very abrasive, and she's not looking for the constant stimulation that an 8w7 might typically seek. A 9 is more likely to prefer to be "average" in a sense (something we also see she wants). She's outspoken, direct, unbothered, and blunt. I made her tri-type 874, I don't think 8 and 7 need an explanation, but I choose 4 over 3 because she is searching for identity outside of her successes. She wants to be more than her talent, and find who she is outside of her intelligence. A core 3, and a 3w4 might attribute their successes as a core part of who they are, which is the opposite of what Marcy desires. During the ending epilogues, we can see she has escaped her success being constantly attached to her. I'd like to say that I was in a production of this show, so I'd like to think I have a good understanding of her character. Let me know if you guys think I could be wrong.
