What personality type is Chen Kuan Jui (Boys Planet)? Chen Kuan Jui (Boys Planet) is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - - in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, in Socionics.
at this point, i’m pretty sure kuanjui leads with extroverted feeling! i’d say he’s more fe-ni than fe-si (i don’t see too much of the extroverted perceiving functions either). i also firmly believe he’s a self-preservation 6(w7) with a tritype 1 fix (image triad fix could be 2, 3, or 4–not really sure about that one). first, jumping into cognitive functions (my observations are relevant to mostly jung but could apply to mbti or grant or whatever else): his leadership in ”butterfly” makes this really clear. he wanted all his teammates to feel confident and comfortable in trying things. with him in charge, the team environment felt particularly warm. though kuanjui was performing exceptionally well, receiving praise from mentors and trainees, he felt it was more important to boost junseo. he desires group harmony—an emotional environment of positive feelings. like many fe doms, his feelings are worn in his facial expressions and body language. it is easy to get a read on him even when he doesn’t share his feelings aloud. his unwillingness to talk with his family about some of the hardships he was going through as an individual trainee in korea (doesn’t want to burden them) is very fe. there’s a sense of responsibility to his family and social norms. he has that fe compulsion to support and counsel others. the way he looks at people feels very quintessentially fe to me? though he’s a really motivated individual, he doesn’t tend to put his individual wants and desires first. i found it really telling how kuanjui joined hao in consoling min about his mere 3 seconds of line in “kill this love” when he himself, similarly, had only 5 seconds of lines in that song. his strong fe is why the whole selfish/evil/disruptive-to-the-group-environment edit mnet seemed to attempt with “over me” felt forced and disharmonious with his character. he is really invested in others’ feelings. even as a kid, he would, while out with his mom, insist they bring home a toy or something for his older sister. also, his genuine support for hao—sharing his 30-second self pr, collapsing on the ground when he was announced as p01, and calling him “his pride”—is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. i’m less sure about his perceiving function. still, he seems more ni-se axis than si-ne? in his alcohol free cocktail video, the way he seemed to mentally map it out (visualizing the process in his mind) before making the cocktail was really interesting to me. the dance breaks (“butterfly” and “over me”) he’s worked on (particularly the parts that are very clearly modified from the original/inspiration) are full of symbolism in a very neat and tidy ni way, i think. he has little “predictions,” especially people-related ones. he knew ricky was going to quote “new thing” for his debut member speech at the finale, and i remember his speculations of who’d take which spot at the ranking ceremonies being pretty accurate. he also somehow divined EVERYTHING in the hidden box challenge—the enoki mushrooms AND the person (in a ghost costume) under the table. it’s hard to pinpoint and explain how introverted intuition might manifest, but i tried my best here! enneagram-wise, he has always struck me as a self-preservation 6. warmth and worry. humor and diligence. helpful and supportive. making protective alliances in the form of friendships. kind of neurotic (said with lots of affection). then, there’s no doubt his tritype has a 1 fix, but i’m a bit torn on which image triad type (2, 3, 4) to include as his final fix because he fits all of them to a certain extent. it’s been really lovely to get to know kuanjui in the last few months. he is a really cool person and deserves the absolute most! at first, i wouldn’t have thought him to be an fe dom because of the strong first impression he gave off, but it became increasingly obvious as i learned more about the kind of person he was.
