English MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is English? English is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - so/sx - 541 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
The INTJ stereotype is math/science, but I've always liked English/literature best. As a Ni-dom, I love the interconnections between different stories and their time periods, different books by the same authors, connections between the author and characters' personalities etc. It's why I want to study Comparative Literature: basically English class but with even MORE interconnections. English is definitely a 5w4 subject. I've noticed that most- maybe all- of the good English teachers I've had are Ni-dom too! (Two INTJ and two INFJ.)
Biography
English is a West Germanic language that was first spoken in early medieval England and eventually became a global lingua franca. It is named after the Angles, one of the ancient Germanic peoples that migrated to the area of Great Britain that later took their name, England. Both names derive from Anglia, a peninsula on the Baltic Sea. English is most closely related to Frisian and Low Saxon, while its vocabulary has been significantly influenced by other Germanic languages, particularly Old Norse (a North Germanic language), as well as Latin and French.
