this was originally a reply, but i wanted to post it as its own comment for anyone who wanted to hear some thoughts. i’m still new to typology, so if i’ve misrepresented any functions, please let me know! to me, cxk feels like a clear ISFP. all of his interviews appear very fi-motivated, with balanced development of se and ni. a few notable moments for me: - while fe users tend to wear their hearts on their sleeve, cxk is more emotionally reserved. he comments on this in his l’officiel interview, saying that though his fans were interested in seeing the more “human” side of him — confusion, impulsiveness, fragility, even moments where he’s out of control — he purposefully maintained his calm image. - at the same time, he highly values authenticity and being true to himself. he’s talked about knowing what he wanted from a very young age, and sticking with that dream even though others around him pursued opposite paths. he’s remarked that he “pursued his dreams in his own way” - his staff even comments that he has a very strong sense of personal values that sometimes makes him slightly reluctant to compromise. - re: his views on music, he commented that “[he] really like[s] the soul and jazz vibe that takes people on an emotional journey in music”. it’s all about conveying the authentic self. in his interview with sound digest, when asked why he finds it so important to self-produce his own music, he said, “I want every piece of my work to have my own soul and spirit in it. To me, singing and performing work written by others can feel really different from my own. I feel more like myself and enjoy it more when I’m performing my own work.” - his advice to the youth with you trainees was “You can take me as the direction and goal of your efforts, but you must follow your own path. Do not compare with others. Do not imitate anyone.” his thoughtfulness towards the wellbeing/comfort of others is not indicative of fe, which is why i can’t see INFJ despite his ni feeling so prominent (more on that below). he doesn’t look to external groups to form his moral opinions or decisions like a fe user does. - that being said, i do think his fi appears almost muted at times because he’s very image-conscious. he’s been through several scandals/controversies that have made him more careful about what he says or how he acts. for se, i think his lyrics are a good indicator of his preference for objective (external) sensorial data. he’s always talking about the environment as it is: the lighting in the room, the temperature, etc. and while se isn’t just “likes sports”, i think it’s still good to realise that every time he’s been asked about his hobbies, he responds with physical activities (basketball, swimming, exercising in general). in his grazia interview, he mentions living in the moment and not hesitating, and that he imagines the physical motions of rehearsal to get himself in the performer mindset. when asked about the most notable thing about living with 99 other trainees during IP, his first thought was that you could smell a lot of sweat, as well as the “training room smell” (LOL). he’s rooted to sensory information. i also think that he’s very comfortable using ni to support his se. he’s always using ni in keep running: his primary source of information is broad, objective sensory collection, which he later consolidates into a single conclusion after observing patterns in his information. one of the first examples that came to mind of this is during that episode where they had to draw members of the post-production staff and match the drawing to the real-life person. despite him struggling to articulate the reasoning behind his choice, you can tell there’s a developed intuitive process filtering the sensory data he collected while scanning the room. another example is s5 ep8 during the rock-paper-scissors game. instead of considering multiple possibilities (thinking divergently, as characterised by ne), he dovetailed into a single, neat inference: that lucas would be called to play again. he even says “I always have this kind of feeling, I don’t know why”. both times he ended up being right, of course. also, in his l’officiel interview, the interviewer often remarked that he took great care in formulating his responses. this kind of deliberate expression, always seeking to convey purpose and depth, fits ni well. for inf te, i don’t think his te is particularly weak? or maybe his line of work necessitates him using it often. it could also be a 3 fix/core (still thinking about his enneagram). he seems to place value on external measures of success, and highly values efficiency. even among the idol producer trainees, he was particularly motivated and insistent on achieving perfection and making the most of the practice hours. if anyone has anything to add, or even opposing opinions, i’d be happy to hear :]
