Joe Hoenig (died July 6, 2013) was a U.S. Navy Admiral and the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under the administration of President Benjamin Asher. He was succeeded by Edward Clegg. He was held hostage in the White House during the White House Siege and later killed in the helicopter suicide bombing on the North Lawn of the White House.
