What personality type is Mary Hunt? Mary Hunt is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - sx/so - 926 in Enneagram, in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.
Her Fi-Se makes perfect sense, regarding her character. She’s private with who she lets in, because her feelings will be the first access to people around her, it’s what her true essence will be, or most of. Although Mary has some set thoughts and values on things she’ll never give up on, due to her longing for Katarina’s love, she won’t force them on her. This can make her seem like a Fe-dom/aux, but it’s actually the fear of rejection that makes her ‘withdrawn’ and not act ‘full Fi’. Introverted feeling also excels at figuring out others’ intentions, even if it’s not Fe, they’re still able to deem a situation emotional, joyful, unsafe and get a hunch at dangerous/malicious people. Fi can also become perfectionist, and Mary acts in many events overly worried of how her actions need to be just right, so Katarina will love her (she already does, in friendship…). Her Se can be seen through her perception of reality, the senses and present —> gardening is a grounding technique which can be a sort of meditation. It’s a hobby of hers that connects Mary to the present. Fi also plays a role in this, because it is through gardening that she expresses her feelings and emotions, nurturing her loved plants. “In early life, Ni isn’t very well-developed for ISFPs, so they may not access it very often. They may get vague senses of “knowing” that they can’t quite explain or find themselves creatively daydreaming about the future impacts of their current choices and paths in life.” In the event that Katarina got lost in the cave they all went in, Mary had this ‘gut feeling’ something bad would happen, and it was unknown to herself. A function which she still doesn’t understand and lacks the knowledge of how to use it. Her inferior Te is terrible at being impersonal when making decisions. She focuses on the things and people that are important to her first, and that’s it. Logical thinking does not come to her much. *Can be seen when she went all impulsive, that the others had to hold her, because she was overwhelmed by Fi following with Se, what lead to her outburst in physical movement. (If I remember it right, Katarina had fallen asleep for a long time, ‘dream?’ Or something related to Katarina being in danger. Forgive my poor Si, please) For the people that voted ISFJ, I’m really curious to know how you’ve come to this conclusion. My personal experience, being a Ne-Fi has not made me the most authentic out of everyone else, and many times I hid my true feelings and values to please people I wanted to care about me and accept me. Again, that’s probably enneagram 2w3.
