What personality type is Grantaire? Grantaire is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sp/sx - 748 in Enneagram, RCUEN in Big 5, in Socionics.
i'm not sure where people are getting the Se honestly? just because he seems to care about physical sensations such as the taste of wine and how it feels to be drunk does not equal Se dom. he seems to have all the hallmarks of a typical ENTP including the fact that he likes to play devil's advocate; he does it very easily. he sees multiple perspectives and readily jokes about them, very good at understanding Fe (tert) but putting it aside in favor of exploring the comedic angles of things. he may seem concerned for the current moment, but it feels very lax; like he's not doing it at all correctly and is altogether missing what it is to truly be in the moment itself. if he were Se dom, especially as ESTP, he would likely act in some comparable way to Monsieur Thenardier! he is much more contemplative of the different options life offers, even seeming to consider them and choosing the path of least resistance which is very typical of depressed ENTP 7w6s. they take a stance of casual joking on serious situations, to point out the various opinions of others. this is very much fitting for grantaire! i would sooner consider INTP than ESTP, if i'm being honest.
