Grantaire MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Grantaire? Grantaire is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sp/sx - 748 in Enneagram, RCUEN in Big 5, in Socionics.

I really do not see Ti-Fe axis in Grantaire outside of stereotypes of the ENTP jokester. He's surrounded by people with in-depth, passionate beliefs about their society yet he doesn't engage in any of these beliefs. Reading the novel, it's always seemed to me that what comes across as Grantaire playing "the devil's advocate" is not him understanding multiple sides and wanting to see what comes of poking it in a way a Ti-Fe would, but because he's genuinely a contrary person to those around him. His cynicism isn't an act of provocation to his peers but truly how he views life and the world, hence why he is drawn to the group in the first place since they're so fundamentally different in ideology from him. He's a truly jaded, frankly miserable person. He has his own internal understanding of the world and he doesn't budge from it, Fi-Te; but he still wants to be near people like Enjolras *because* he's so different in thinking and finds this enlightening, and that's Grantaire's dominant Ne. He's completely closed off to the mentality of the others in Les Amis as they have no influence on the way he behaves, a lack of Fe. I can see how he comes across as an ENTP from the perspective of the musical and the movie, but that's because those two versions of the story do not have time to delve into Grantaire's character.
