Materialistic MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Materialistic? Materialistic is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - sx/so - 378 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

Functions that strongly projects materialistic values are Se and Te. In terms of actual material wealth and physical gains, it would be Extraverted Sensing. Se is the most in tune with the physical world around us, and also the most likely function to give pleasure through human senses. Se enjoys things which are concrete, visible, material; things which have a direct, practical impact on their physical environment. This can give a person with Se a really strong desire to possess physical things and feel like they're important; it can make them feel good to have lots of beautiful objects, and it can also make them want to be really productive and achieve physical success in life, which is where the stereotype of Se users being athletic comes from. In terms of social status, power or influence, it would be Extraverted Thinking. Te aims on being well-recognised and respected in the community. Te can make people highly driven to be successful, and can lead to a desire to show off the things they have and what they've accomplished. In Te-users, there can be very strong desires to climb to the top of a social hierarchy and be the most respected or powerful person in the room. This is connected to their competitive nature and a desire to make sure people see their value. Another analogy that i would like to use to describe the diffrence of materialism between Se and Te is the seven deadly sins; Se is materialistic in the form of Lust, they always actively seek sensory pleasure which can often lead to the behaviour of impulsivity and not thinking ahead. Te is materialistic in the form of Pride, they have the desire to be seen as powerful and influental which can lead to overconfidence and superiority complex.
