Wreck-It Ralph MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Wreck-It Ralph? Wreck-It Ralph is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/so - 962 in Enneagram, RLUAN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.

Argument for Ralph being Phlegmatic-Melancholic: Why is Ralph typed as Melancholic-Sanguine? I understand Melancholic. However, how does he embody Sanguine traits? The traits of Sanguine - outgoing, lively, optimistic, a fun lover, spontaneous, sociable, impulsive, sometimes too happy, distractible - barely fit him at all. Ralph mainly is someone who's peaceful, humble, patient, relaxed, quiet, calm, accepting, laid-back - all of which I described are of the Phlegmatic temperament. The Wiki mainly describes his personality as such: "Ralph is ultimately a sweet, well-meaning character. He is also extremely casual and somewhat laid-back. Ralph is humble, sweet and kind at heart." Melancholic as his second makes sense: he's quite cautious and thoughtful but can be quite pessimistic, sensitive, difficult to please, and discontent with himself and others. This discontent with himself and the Nicelanders is especially apparent in the beginning, as this is what's behind his insecurities as the "bad guy" and antisocial behavior and fuels him to game-jump.

Biography

Ralph is the Punch-Clock Villain of the popular arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr. In it, his job is to destroy an apartment building that the hero, Felix, must fix. After 30 years of doing the same job, Ralph decides he doesn't want to be a bad guy anymore, and sets out on a game-jumping quest to become a hero.
