What personality type is Oda Nobunaga? Oda Nobunaga is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/sx - 837 in Enneagram, in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
I don't have much courage to express my opinion here at the PDB, but I decided to create this argument. And here I will explain why I think Oda Nobunaga is an ENTP, I am quite open to other opinions, but I will explain based on what I know about him. What most made me believe in the possibility of ENTP, was when I was reading about Ne with the unhealthy helper Ti, ``These ENTPs are likely to be very critical or extreme in trying to advance whatever misguided ideas they adopt, not getting to see how their actions can inadvertently produce bad results.`` (https://dftbar.com/2017/06/19/funcao-auxiliar-pensamento-introvertido-ti-ESTPENTP/ english is not my first language so this can be in Portuguese), this paragraph reminded me of the tragedy of Mount Hiei (I know both sides were wrong), Nobunaga was at his peak of power, which was making him feel superior to everyone (he even tried to get the emperor to resign) , Nobunaga wanted to burn Mount Hiei thinking that what he was doing would give good results, everyone would love him more (in fact they were already hating him), and he was very critical of ordering everyone to kill, not caring if they were women or children and also fo It is an extremely critical act to set fire to Mount Hiei. I'll explain the inferior si, I read that people who have dominant si are afraid to enjoy the moment for fear of the future, Nobunaga didn't fear the future and enjoyed the present, another thing I read was that dominant si care about proper behavior, Nobunaga didn't care about that, so much so that he played sumo in the streets, so much so that, for various reasons, he is known as ''The Fool of Owari''. On tertiary fe, I didn't find very useful information, but I read something about fe in general that caught my attention, it said about looking at people as an influence, Nobunaga admired Saito Dosan and wanted to be like him (this made Akechi influence Nobunaga). My arguments for Fe were poor , and for Ne I mixed a lot with Ti, but I tried to do my best. It could be that something I read was misunderstood and I'm mixing it up, if that happened I would be happy if someone corrected me. I am open to other opinions and changing my vote. PS: Anyone who wants to delve into the story of Oda and Akechi, I recommend the Taiga Drama Kirin ga Kuru, it has created information and others half in half, but it's worth it, as much of the information is true and some is very thorough (as said before not all).
Biography
Oda Nobunaga (織田 信長, June 23, 1534 – June 21, 1582) was a powerful daimyō (feudal lord) of Japan in the late 16th century who attempted to unify Japan during the late Sengoku period, and successfully gained control over most of Honshu. Nobunaga is regarded as one of three unifiers of Japan along with his retainers Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. During his later life, Nobunaga was widely known for most brutal suppression of determined opponents, eliminating those who by principle refused to cooperate or yield to his demands.
