What personality type is Rafiki? Rafiki is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sx - 594 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.
This is a great example of an individuated ENTP. It’s seems that in rafikis life he asked all of the right questions. An individuated ENTP has access to all of the functions not just in the default Ne-si and Ti-fe axis. But also to their INTJ shadow of Ni-se and Te-fi. They can do this by tapping into the underlying subconscious that is a mirror of their ego You can watch in the series when he changes his psychological axis, to which the characters engaging with him think his behavior is out of nowhere. But there’s a method to his madness. For example, when rafiki finds out that simba is alive he started this discovery by a bit of debris in the wind. (Ne) He then sniffs it (Ti) to let his Si dominant subconscious recall past details. This also enabled his deductive reasoning (Ti) to further investigate. He then uses his (Ne) to conduct a brainstorming session. The goal of the session was to get his Si to pinpoint his past sensations and if this confirms his Ne and Ti. Finally when his Si dominant (ISFJ subconscious) reveals to him the answer he then uses his Intj shadow that then gives him the abstract principle (Ni) He then laughs historically (Fi) at the realization that simba is still alive. Because his shadow uses the functions of Ni-se and Te-fi We can see his Ni-se and Te-fi often when he is diving into his “Wise insight” mode. His encounter with simba shows how his Ti can quickly switch to Te. And how his Ne can quickly switch to Ni. I can see why it’s hard for someone to pin him down as an ENTP or INFJ. It’s because he is capable of both Ne/Ni Fe/Fi and Ti/Te. It’s his Si/Se that enables him to do this. He has mastered his mind as an ENTP, he has self actualized. For people like this it’s always difficult to tell exactly what they are up to because they have the ability to switch axis on a dime. He has earned his position as a sage. His integration of self makes him the powerful force. All while finding a way to still monkey around. 😜

Rafiki is a supporting character in Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He is a mandrill who serves as a shaman and Royal Mjuzi of the Pride Lands. Rafiki has an eccentricity that paints him as something of a lunatic; in truth, he is a sage with a deep connection to magical and spiritual elements. With his bakora stick always on his person, Rafiki uses his wisdom to guide those in need, most notably Simba.
