Throughout the movie I really thought id be looking at an extremely unhealthy ISFP but have considering, yeah she does have ti, its not unhealthy fi, even if it was a facade to hide her true feeling she still uses ti regularly to judge situations according if they make sense to her or not, and has no problem using people for their own gain, she has no qualms of morality at all and its complete opposite cognitive functions with her father which makes the difference in perspectives much more apparent and I do not see her as a mainly 6, I see more as an 8 as what she values most is protect herself from betrayal at all cost 8w9 bc i dont see 7 in her AT ALL im sorry her 9 is extremely small but at least its something unlike her 7 Im open to your comments, im happy to hear about all the interpretations of this movie, mainly what was her goal when sending all this pictures to the family of thomas
Biography
Ellie is the deuteragonist of the 2022 drama film The Whale. She is a rebellious young girl and the estranged daughter of Charlie, a morbidly obese English teacher. Having grown angry at the world due to him abandoning her and her mother for his late boyfriend Alan, she acts hostile and abusive to anyone she comes close to and wants absolutely nothing to do with Charlie, who makes efforts to try and reconnect with her. Despite her hostilities towards her father throughout the film, the root cause for her abuse is down to emotional trauma from Charlie leaving her at such a young age, destroying her family. She is portrayed by Sadie Sink, who also portrayed Haley in Eli. As a child, she was portrayed by Jacey Sink.
