Losing doesn't make sense to a person like Rin, that's why he didn't considerate the possibility. While when he plays he notices the whole patterns and systems, reading the future and potential in others and anticipating actions or experiences. His Ni-Te is just too strong for him not being INTJ. About the enneagram I changed from 5w6 to 8w7 because as I said he is goal-oriented, domineering and confident of his skills. Unlike 5w6s that tend to be more self-doubting and pessimistic. I have been misled by his cold temperament.
