What personality type is Merphy Napier? Merphy Napier is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.
I‘m convinced she‘s Si dominant, probably an ISFJ. Hear me out :) what has me thinking strong Si is the way she absolutely loves detailed discriptions of scenery. I have a lot of friends who love to read and only the Si users are the ones who care about a detailed discription. Se users tell me that it bores them. That while they love watching a movie with a lot of slow paced showcasing of scenery, they hate having to read about it and then having to form it in their mind themselves. Now, I‘ve heard the argument a lot that the fact that Merphy gets so emotional about her books and shows how she feels about them authentically is a clear sign of Fi. I don’t think that is true. I‘m personally an Fe user and I sound the exact same way when I talk about books. I feel all the feelings of every book character and then I want to tell anyone who‘ll listen to me every single thing I feel about the book I‘ve been reading. Talking about your deep feelings does not make you an Fi user. Fi is about making decisions based on your own values instead of group values. Anyway, I understand that there will be people who disagree with me on this, but in my experience, Fe users are often the people who talk about their feelings MORE than Fi users while Fi users often prefer to keep all that to themselves or only share with a select few. Thirdly, I see a lot of Ti in Merphy when she talks about books. She absolutely hates it when things don’t make sense, it can even ruin a book for her. Her entire series about all the things that don’t add up in Harry Potter screams Ti to me. So yeah, I‘m pretty sure she‘s an ISFJ. Feel free to disagree :)
