What personality type is Georges Bataille? Georges Bataille is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sx/so - 548 in Enneagram, RLUEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
I don't understand where people are getting INFJ from. In the postscript to Story of the Eye, he describes his own childhood, saying that his father was syphilitic, and suffered from lunacy as a result. He states that he felt a "vague hatred" for him. His mother was also panged by mental illnesses, and he admitted to twisting her arm, trying to get her to "snap out of it". That being said, Story of the Eye's initial premise, seems very Ni-woven with obvious inferior Se. Things are carnivalesque, brought to the height of obscenity and debauchery, with veiled vignettes and references to his own life, the blending of metaphors such as the eye melding with testicles and eggs, and the astonishing marriage of the sacred and the profane. Really hard to digest content. Certainly not a fun read, but compelling nonetheless.
Biography
Georges Bataille explored subjects as erotism, mysticism, surrealism, and transgression. His work would prove influential on subsequent schools of philosophy and social theory, including poststructuralism.
