"I'm doing the notes and reading all of them and... Y'all gotta stop. Y'all gotta stop with the hypochondriasis. You want everything, you want to see all the specialists in the world. You know what I think? I think the problem in medicine are the specialties. They come and corrupt health. The primary doctor becomes a secretary, with no time for an examination. Send you to a specialist to do everything, and the specialist only knows to do one thing, and one thing only. I think that's horrible. Getting sick is horrible. This is pitiful, the patient suffers. On top, the patient is a hypochondriac. They want the specialist, the specialists don't talk to each other. The health approach isn't comprehensive. The specialists act like they totally forgot about the other organ systems. There's no integration. At least until the patient ends up at the hospital and it's too late. And then I have to verify the whole thing. I want to make sure you're attended. 10 minutes, however, isn't enough for me to do just that. It's all pills, pills. I remember my primary doctor being cool, not giving out so many pills. They have to do exercise, but don't want to. They have to change the diet, but don't want to. If that approach is doing nothing for the patients, it's because there's nothing else to do but just to do that, to exercise and eat well to avoid sequelae. All the exams, and the echocardiogram, Dopplers. Where the real medicine at? Why is the health plan taking away so much time between doctor and patient?" - Local doctor
