Economics MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Economics? Economics is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 358 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
As an Economics student, here is what I think about the field. Point out if I'm wrong: I think the subject suits well with an ENTJ typing. Dominant Te: Economics is a subject that deals with the outer world, and finding the optimal & most desirable resource allocation for the society as a whole. Therefore, I think it is more likely to be an extroverted type. It also emphasizes on constructing a structure that prioritizes efficiency and being systematic, which indicates strong Te. Auxiliary Ni: One core idea in Economics is how it abstract and simplify the problems before solving them. This is why the field is involved with so many models and predictions of future. Tertiary Se: As stated above, Economics try to identify problems from the outer world. Inferior Fi: It literally assumes that everyone is rational and utility-maximizing. Although I type it ENTJ, I try to control for the stereotypes commonly associated with the typology. One might think that Economics is a subject that teaches us how to make a boatload of money and therefore link it with the ENTJ = money preassumption, which is imprecise. A more accurate idea is that it tries to maximize the society's wealth, but not necessarily the wealth of one or several individuals.
Biography
