in my opinion his entire arc is learning to be more in touch with Se, with characters, specially ones that are Se doms (maverick & hangman), constantly telling him to just let go and be in the moment and stop thinking when flying (which he really struggles with). also i dont remember anything that makes him seem like an Fe user, yet there are things that seem Fi (him holding a grudge of maverick seems very Si-Fi, for example). i can, however, see him as INFJ; i just think that there's no way that Se is, if present at all, high in his stack
